Roles and Resposibilities:
• Collect complaints from students, faculty or staff through written or online submissions
• Ensure timely acknowledgment of grievances so the complainant knows their issue is being
addressed
• Conduct fair and impartial inquiries into complaints, gathering relevant facts and
statements
• Ensure that grievance handing is open, confidential, and unbiased
• Suggest corrective actions or policy improvements to resolve the issue
• Resolve grievances promptly within a stipulated time frame
• Maintain record of all grievances received. actions taken and resolutions achieved
• Ensure adherence to AICTE, UGC or university guidelines related to grievance redressal mechanisms
Exclusions: Issues that DO NOT come under the grievance Redressal Committee
• Complaints related to ragging, Sexual harassment and gender discrimination
• Examination and Evaluation related Appeals
• Complaints regarding admission process, category reservation, or eligibility criteria
• Major disciplinary violations (Eg: damage to property, violence, indiscipline)
• Issues related to staff salaries, budget allocation, audit discrepancies, procurement
• Legal or Court-related Matters
•Policy and governance Decisions
